Podcast - The Loudspeaker Edition

I had a great time with Shawn Nageli from Control4, Dan Roemer from Perlisten and, of course, Walt Zerbe and Ed Wenck from CEDIA talking loudspeakers on this CEDIA podcast - https://lnkd.in/dCNzNPj.

We focussed in on some of the specifications necessary for ludspeakers that enable systems designers to predict their in-room performance. Have you ever heard a speaker sound amazing in one room, and really poor in another? In the Hi-Fi world this is OK as speakers are easily moved and if necessary, changed. In the custom cinema world, once a speaker is installed it usually very difficult to move or change it. Engineering, not marketing specifications are the key to understanding and predicting how speakers interact with their environment to deliver the required results. I wish we'd have had 50 hours but fear not, the podcast is only 50 minutes and will give you an insight into this deep, deep topic.
